Junior Big Game and Trapping Mentoring Bill last update 7-06-08 Legislation and Legislators The Handicapp Hunt 4-H Shooting Sports Program is open to all girls and boys ages 12 to 19. There are 4 disciplines in the program, each runs six weeks beginning the end of April, and running through June 7. Each discipline meets once a week at an Oswego County Sportsmen Club: ~ Archery will be on Thursday nights 6-8 pm at the Deerslayers on State Route 104 in Hannibal ~ Rifle will be Thursday nights 6-8pm at the Pathfinder Fish and Game Club in Fulton ~ Shotgun will be Wednesday nights 6-8pm at the Leatherstocking Club in Scriba on State Route 104 ~ Black powder muzzle loading will be Wednesday nights 6-8 pm at the Albion Fish and Game Club in Albion State Route 13. The Altmar Fish Hatchery now has an automatic fish tagging machine. There will be a field hound event held at Redfield on May 10th. There be a bench show starting at 1:00 PM, field trial afterwards. Food and drink available. The Stillbrook Fish and Game Club is sponsoring a Youth Trout Fishing Derby Saturday May 31 at the Altmar Hotel Pavilion, Altmar NY. This is a memorial derby for Steven Esposito. Hunters Helping Kids will be holding a banquet June 21. The Redfield Club will hold its annual Kids Fishing Derby June 21 starting at 8:00 AM at the Club House. Youth up to 16 years of age can participate.
